The Vorontsovskoye deposit is operated by Northern Urals Gold, a subsidiary of Polymetal. Northern Urals Gold was registered by the Head of the Krasnoturinsk Administration on October 12th, 1993 (based on Act No. 670). The Vorontsovskoye gold deposit is located in the Krasnoturinsk ore region in the Sverdlovsk Region, 0.5 kilometers to the west of the Vorontsovskoye settlement. Gold mineralization at the deposit is represented by two types of ore: infused and vein-infused ores. There are two types of ore based on the conditions of formation of the ore mineralization: primary gold-sulfide ore, located in the zones of vein-infused mineralizations; oxidized ores, as the products of residual soil from the chemical weathering of the primary ores.
In 2005 the mine produced 74,500 ounces of gold and 56,500 ounces of silver. Deposit's ore reserves (by JORC) are estimated at 11.611 million tonnes. (CO.
